Episode 156 - Knitting with moderator Robbie!
We are ending 2017 with a light-hearted episode recorded with our lovely Ravelry group moderator Robbie, aka Photoknitgal. An episode that has been several years in the making, we finally get to introduce Robbie to our listeners and Ravelry group members. Robbie joins us for our regular segments, and then we discuss our "Love your stash" movement, and how we banish guilt by changing the culture of stash. (Photo taken in April, 2017 at The Yarniacs NoCKRs retreat. All three of us are sporting our lovely Donner sweaters!)
If you have been following our Ravelry group, you may have seen that some folks started their SIKAL projects yesterday, on the winter solstice. I however, wasn't ready to start, and am determined to get a bit further along on the current sweater I am knitting. So don't hesitate to join in the fun, and you can plan to join me with a January 1 (or later!) cast-on. Details in the episode or in our Ravelry group.
This concludes another fun year of podcasting for Gayle and I. We wish you all happy holidays, and a wonderful start to 2018. We look forward to knitting with you then!

Episode 155 - Knitting with harbor seals
We are at the harbor for our annual holiday lights episode, though this year we were a little too early in the day for the lights. :) But we did have some sea life sightings so it all worked out. This episode we talk a little about the upcoming Self-Indulgent Knit-a-long which has become an annual Yarniacs event. Please see our group on Ravelry if you need more information and join in the fun. Please use the hashtag #SIKAL2018 for your social media needs.
You'll notice we mention the Pantone Color of the Year. I think the news about the 2018 Color of the Year must have hit social media about the time we were recording, so if you haven't heard by now, check the link below to see the gorgeous Ultra Violet! You know that I am going to knitting this color. (Of course, you also know that I would be knitting this color even if it weren't Color of the Year. I just happen to have some in my stash. Ha!)
Wishing everyone a happy holiday season!
