Episode 82 - StitchesWest bound

This week Gayle and I are prepping for the big knit-centric event known as StitchesWest. We are both noting our queue and sorting through our stashes so we know what we have, and know what we need, before we see all sorts of yarn and goodies that we want. We're also taking along a few things to show, and looking forward to meeting up with folks who want to come to the hotel bar on Saturday afternoon. If you are at the show, we hope you will come along and join the group.

Episode 81 - Winter sweater weather

Sharlene's self-indulgent yarn from Western Sky Knits
As I sit here finishing these show notes, my eyes are drawn to the window, and the slight promise of rain. If you've been following California news at all, you know that while the rest of the country is experiencing a white winter, in our neck of the woods January passed without a drop of moisture falling from the sky. Extreme drought indeed. So despite the fact that it is a mild 62ºF (16ºC) folks are out and about bundled up and everyone is excited about the possibility of rain. Whatever the February weather has in store for you (that groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter, right?) I hope you find a way to incorporate your knits--wearing or making--in a self-indulgent way. Please consider joining the self-indulgent KAL chat over in our group in Ravelry. Enjoy your knitting and stay warm! :)
