Recording Episode 5 did not go as smoothly as previous episodes. Birds, wind chimes, and at one point there is a short humming/buzzing in the background as the ice-maker kicked in on my frig. So bear with us. Each episode we learn a little bit about the sound and the quality and we do strive to deliver the best audio we can.
In this episode, we discuss the following:
Whisper Cardigan by Hannah Fettig
Gayle's Whisper
Madelinetosh Vintage yarn
Jenica Hoodie by Joji Locatelli
Pole by Joji Locatelli
Émilien by Ariane Caron-Lacoste
Still Light Tunic by Veera Valimaki
Fuse by Veronik Avery

I'm a dance teacher and I can see myself in the studio in the simple flats... I think I need lots of different pairs to match all of my dance gear!

Listened to the podcast for the first time-really enjoyed it. I have queued the whisper cardigan. I would also love to knit the wave or particle shawl by michelle.
ReplyDeletegreat podcast! thanks for the shout-out :) I would LOVE to knit the Tulipan shawl -- so cute. nice giveaway!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to listen to this episode. There are four projects in Leaves I would knit: the Leaf Relief Cowl, Tulipan, Wave or Particle and simple flats. Thanks for mentioning it and for a great podcast as well.
ReplyDeleteI love all of Michelle's patterns and would probably knit all of the patterns at some point in time. The simple flats would be great for around the house! But my first project would be shawl in bloom because I like the warmth that shawls add without being heavy.
ReplyDeleteThis morning, I awoke with one goal: to finish the second of my Garter Stitch Baby Kimono by Jojo Locatelli. In doing so, I thought, "Here's perfect opportunity to listen to ALL of the Yarniacs' podcasts, since I haven't listened to nary a one YET!"
ReplyDeleteAnd so I did! Love it ladies! Well done!
And since you're offering this contest, well, as you know, I love shawls, love to "fave" them, love to "queue" them but don't wear 'em. That being said, I'd choose the Golden Leaf Shawl and wear it as a neck wrap :-)
Signed, AccioYarn :-)
HI...great podcast. I really enjoy hearing about all of your latest knits and get lots of inspiration. I would love to knit the Tulipan shawl...it is just lovely! Thanks so much for a chance to win!! rebecca6923 on ravelry
ReplyDeleteI love your show notes because I follow them while listening. It helps me so much. Since you mentioned your contest, I'm choosing Shawl in Bloom as my favorite pattern in Michelle's collection. I went to Stitches West too and would like to return next year. It is so overwhelming the first time.
ReplyDeleteI love the Wave and Particle Shawl.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to knit the Perennial Top Down Silk Beret. It looks so chic! Thanks for the giveaway. I love listening to your podcast and eagerly wait for the new episodes.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd start with the Leaf Relief Cowl, but I seriously want to knit every pattern in her book! There's just something about knitting leaves (I love them) and Michelle has created beautiful patterns using them!
ReplyDeleteLove the podcast.
ReplyDeleteI looked at the "Leaves" patterns, and I love the "Wave or Particle Shawl" it is really unique.
I haven't found a podcast I enjoyed yet, but this might be just the one for me. I'll have to download your show and listen when I get home! (can't hear audio at work :( )
ReplyDeleteAs far as the Leaves book, I'd really like to do the Shawl in Bloom or Golden Leaves, but they are all so pretty! I love Michelle's patterns. :)
I love listening to this podcast while I'm working. I use my break to queue half the patterns that were discussed. I didn't even notice the bird talking so no worries. I would like to knit the Shawl in Bloom.
ReplyDeleteThe golden leaf shawl is very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great podcast.

definitely the Wave or Particle Shawl.
ReplyDeleteLove the podcast! I love all the patterns from the Leaves book, but I think I'd knit the wave or particle shawl first. It appeals to my geeky side :) I love the black version in the pattern page on ravelry, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe Tuipan Shawl is calling my name!

Loved this episode—your podcast has quickly become one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteAll of Michelle's patterns are wonderful, and I suspect that I would knit almost all of them, but my favorite is Shawl in Bloom.
I love the concept of the Leaves book! I've got so many single skeins of sock yarn and I don't get very many chances to wear socks here in south FL, so I'm always looking for cute sock yarn patterns other than socks. I like all the patterns in the Leaves book, but my favorites are the Golden Leaves Shawl and the Shawl in Bloom. I'd definitely knit both of these.
ReplyDeleteI like the pattern Shawl in Bloom in the Leaves cardigan. Thanks for your ideas!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Shawl in Bloom. Love your podcast!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the Tulipan Shawl-- many thanks.

ReplyDeleteBTW thanks for a lovely podcast, I listened to all 5 episodes in the last 2 days!
The Golden Leaf Shawl is beautiful, but I also like the Wave or Particle Shawl. And I've been thinking about trying to make some ballet flat slippers, so Simple Flats would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity!
I think the Particle Shawl is my choice. There is even some Mal sock in my stash that would be perfect :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a new knitter - I might be able to do the flats... not sure what perennial is - thinking a tam - bet that could be manageable for me as well.
ReplyDeleteBTW, thanks for sharing your Stitches impressions. Attending one is on my to do list and it's nice to hear what others enjoy about them.
Simple flats is my favorite.
