Knitting Wasteland

For tonight's main attraction my knitting friends, watch this unsuspecting Yarniac knit round and round on her project. Her ball of yarn gets smaller, watch the number of rows increase, yet observe how the knitting does not get any longer! Is it a magical ball of yarn? Has our unsuspecting Yarniac entered a knitting time warp? Yes, my knitting friends, our unsuspecting knitter has entered the Knitting Wasteland.

Henceforth, that grey area of knitting, that place where you go round and round and yet your garment does not grow, shall be known as the Knitting Wasteland.

So how is your knitting tonight?

Episode 8 show notes

Wow. This one is a longer-than-usual episode. I guess we had more to say that I thought. Based on listener comments we are trying to provide more information about each project or pattern we discuss. Hopefully we have succeeded in doing that this episode. Again, we will get better!

Some ambient noises this time. The frig came on, the fan on the computer came on. The ice-maker may have chimed in at one point too. I need to start a list of things to shut down before recording! Since we don't record in a sound room, there will always be a little bit of mood noise.

Links to everything (I hope) we discussed below. If it is a pattern that we've been discussing on previous episodes, I may link to our Ravelry project page instead of the Ravelry pattern page or designer web site. If I have left something off the list, please don't hesitate to ask in the comments.

Enjoy episode 8!

Episode 7 show notes

Gayle and I recorded episode 7 early, in anticipation of spring break this week, and the distraction of kids at home. We are experimenting with a new microphone. I don't know if you will be able to hear a difference, but it is one that should potentially produce better audio files. Fingers crossed. Enjoy!
